yep.

Ok. So.

I may have spent the larger part of this afternoon watching The Little Mermaid and then reading the Hans Christian Anderson version of thestory. (What? I’m running out of movies here. Summer is intense.)

And you know, whatever. I’m secure enough with myself that I can be like “Yeah, Internet, so what? Wanna fight about it?” 

Or whatever.

It is totally one of my all time fave Disney movies because I mean come on. Also, that story is so creepy. I used to have a copy in my collection as a kid and I’ve always found that (creepy, creepy) story so fascinating. Basically the story is all “Ladies, don’t lust and want or else… foamy death!” Truth. AND you know, as a former English major (yes, I have a degree in BS) I can say that the story and movie combine to make a very interesting reading of female desire. The eels! The snakes! The church references! The singing! The… well yeah.  

It’s also super fun to watch. 

And it’s raining outside.
